Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Rexonn, which operates MisterQR. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.

1. The service

MisterQR lets you create QR codes, change what they do after printing, and see scan statistics. It’s currently free. We may introduce paid plans or change features in future; we’ll announce changes that affect you in advance.

2. Your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • Give a real email address and keep your password safe. You’re responsible for activity on your account.
  • Tell us straight away at hello@rexonn.com if you think your account has been misused.

3. Acceptable use

You must not use MisterQR, or any QR code made with it, to:

  • phish, scam, defraud or steal credentials, money or personal data (see section 4);
  • spread malware, or link to sites that do;
  • impersonate a person, brand or organisation;
  • send spam, or link to illegal, hateful, violent, sexually exploitative or infringing content;
  • break any law, or infringe anyone’s intellectual property or privacy;
  • overload, scrape, probe or attack the service, or get around its limits or security.

4. No phishing, scams or malware: zero tolerance

MisterQR does not allow, host or support phishing, scam or malware links, in any form. A QR code made with MisterQR must never be used to trick the person who scans it. This includes, for example:

  • fake login, banking, UPI, wallet, card-payment or KYC-update pages;
  • codes that pretend to be from a bank, government body, courier, utility, marketplace or other brand you don’t represent;
  • codes stuck over someone else’s real QR code (at a parking meter, shop counter or poster) to redirect payments or data;
  • fake prizes, lotteries, refunds, jobs, investments or giveaways;
  • links that download malware, or pass through redirects or link-shorteners to hide any of the above.

If we find, or are told about, a code like this:

  • The code is switched off at once. Anyone who scans it sees a “turned off” page instead of the harmful link.
  • The account can be suspended or closed, without notice and without the chance to move its codes.
  • We keep a record of the code, its link and content, the account’s email address and the reason, for up to 180 days, even if the account is deleted. See our Privacy Policy.
  • We cooperate with the authorities: we may report it to CERT-In, the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (cybercrime.gov.in), the police, Google Safe Browsing or the brand being impersonated, and share the record when the law requires it (including under India’s Information Technology Act, 2000).

We don’t review every code before it goes live. We act on reports and our own checks, so please report anything suspicious: use the Report this code link on any MisterQR-hosted page, our contact page, or email hello@rexonn.com. If you scanned a code that asked for a password, OTP, card or UPI PIN, don’t enter it. If you already did, contact your bank and report it at cybercrime.gov.in or on the 1930 helpline.

5. Your content

You own what you put into MisterQR (links, text, images and details). You give us permission to store, process and display it as needed to run the service — for example, to redirect scans and show contact-card pages. You’re responsible for your content and for what your codes point to, and you confirm you have the right to use it.

6. Enforcement

To protect people who scan codes, we may review codes, and we may disable a code, remove content or suspend an account — without notice where needed — if we believe it breaks these terms or the law. A disabled code stops working. Anyone can report a code from its page or at our contact page.

7. Availability

We work to keep the service and your codes running, but it’s provided “as is” and “as available”. We don’t guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. If we ever plan to shut the service down, we’ll give account holders reasonable notice.

8. Liability

To the extent allowed by law, Rexonn is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, or for losses caused by content that users put in their codes. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (currently nothing, as the service is free). Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law.

9. Indemnity

You agree to cover Rexonn against claims and costs arising from your content or your breach of these terms.

10. Ending your use

You can delete your account at any time in Settings — this deletes your codes and their data, and printed codes stop working. We may end or suspend accounts that break these terms.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We’ll change the “Last updated” date and, for significant changes, notify account holders. Continuing to use the service means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts of Gujarat, India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
